11:00 AM Worship with imposition of ashes – Lunch will follow. 

6:30 PM Worship with imposition of ashes. Dinner will be served beginning at 5:00 PM.  

Suggested donation for meals:  
$10 per adult, $5 per student, maximum of $30 per family.

This worship service will feature the practice of Visio Divina, (Latin for “divine seeing”). It is a prayer practice of encountering God through looking at an image. We will slowly and prayerfully reflect on a piece of art, while hearing a related scripture passage and a statement from the artist. Through this process, we will ask questions like:  

  • What do I notice first? 
  • What stands out or draws me in? 
  • What might God be showing or saying to me through this? 
  • What emotions or thoughts come up? 

This time of reflection will be part of the service and done quietly and slowly, sometimes with a time for sharing. It’s meant to help us listen for God’s presence through visual reflection.
