Cedar Creek Elementary School and Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church School/Church Partnership
Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church (OLSC) has a partnership with Cedar Creek Elementary School (CCES) in East Bethel as part of an outreach to our community neighbors.
A school church partnership is an intentional relationship between a church and a school in which both parties work together for the well-being and academic success of the students.
There are three pathways for churches to partner with schools:
- Supporting teachers and staff
- Providing needed goods and services
- Supporting students and families
OSLC Involvement at CCES During the 2025-26 School Year
During the 2025–26 school year, four Faith Partner volunteers from our congregation provided 265 hours of service—the equivalent of 35 full days of support for students and staff. Because of their commitment, we were able to expand volunteer support to students and teachers in Kindergarten through 5th grades, providing individualized help in reading and math.
The impact goes far beyond academics. Students receive encouragement and support from caring adults who know them by name and invest in their success. These relationships help children feel seen, valued, and confident. We also help support teachers and staff in a variety of ways, one of those is by providing food during special events.
We are grateful to our Faith Partner volunteers for sharing Christ’s love in such a tangible way and to our congregation for the prayers and financial support that make this ministry possible. As we look ahead, we are excited to see how God continues to grow this partnership and bless the Cedar Creek Elementary community.
