Building Renovation Update

Making Room: Expanding our welcome, deepening our impact is the new theme name for the Our Saviour’s building renovation project that is scheduled to begin construction in May 2026. The $1.4 million project will include:

  • A resurfaced and reinforced north parking lot, after years of repair.
  • A large multi-purpose space designed for children, youth and family (CYF) ministries, adult presentations and gatherings, and so much more. This space will also contain additional rest rooms conveniently located.
  • An expanded and improved kitchen layout and location allowing our hospitality to shine and containing design elements of a commercial kitchen.
  • An Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant restroom to serve those with mobility limitations, families with young children, those with special needs.
  • A reconfiguration of staff and volunteer offices, all in a smaller footprint.

Watch for a number of opportunities in the coming months to learn more about this exciting project approved by the congregation in June.

The Our Saviour’s building is used seven days a week and our needs have evolved since we moved-in back in 2004. This is more than an upgrade- it’s an act of faith. A bold step into the future God is call us toward. Let’s create a space
worthy of our mission!

At a Congregation meeting on June 8, 2025, Our Saviour’s unanimously approved moving forward with the Building Renovation Project. The components of the approved project include:

  • Building Renovation Plan
  • Capital Appeal Goal of $1.4 million
  • Renovation Financing Plan

Our Church Council, a Building Task Force, Staff and various subgroups have been working on this project for the past 1.5 years. The vision for the project is to meet our key ministry goal of being a congregation sharing God’s love and reaching out with a voice of hope through…

  • Hospitality and Connection
  • Passing on the Faith, and
  • Being a Place of Welcome

The Building Plans meet the ministry needs by reconfiguring our space to be used in the best possible ways. It will include:

  1. Kitchen upgrade and enlargement: larger capacity to prepare and serve food in closer proximity to gathering space
  2. Family Restroom: larger single restroom, ADA compliant. There will also be an additional 2 individual restrooms within secure kids’ ministry space.
  3. Meeting Spaces: expand to 8 multi-purpose meeting spaces with adjacent storage for tables/chairs. The project includes a new 1000 sq. foot multipurpose room.
  4. Office Space: smaller and more flexible office space for Our Saviour’s staff

The Capital Appeal Lead Team has been identified and has already gotten to work! Look for more appeal activities late summer into fall. We look forward to all these activities leading up to construction in the summer of 2026.
