Amanda Heywood has been a member of Our Saviour’s since she was little. Growing up she watched her stepdad, Dan Sloneker, ring the big bass bells in the Carillon Bell Choir.
Amanda joined the handbell choir when she was in elementary school under the direction of Donna Nelson, and continued all the way until she went to college at The University of Minnesota Duluth. She rejoined when she came back to the area. At one time, her whole family – including mom Annette and brother Tim – were all in the Carillon Bells and it was a great family activity.
By day, Amanda is a Special Education Teacher and she loves working with all types of learners. She is excited to step into this position and she knows she is filling some pretty big shoes!
