ELCA National Youth Gathering
July 16-20 (Tues-Sat), 2024 for CURRENT 8th–12th graders in 2023-2024
| What is the Youth Gathering? Every three years, thousands of high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, we will grow in faith and be challenged and inspired to live faith in our daily lives. Where is the 2024 Youth Gathering? New Orleans, LA! How will we get there? Airplane Where will we stay? We will be assigned a hotel in New Orleans. Where does the Gathering take place? We will have a blast at the Mass Gatherings in Caesars Superdome, enjoy activities at the Interactive Learning Space in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, share in Community Life in ballrooms all across New Orleans and more! What will we be doing? A day of service projects, worship together in the dome, speakers, musicians, swamp tour, experiencing NOLA foods and culture and more! What is the theme? The theme is “Created to Be,” centered on Psalm 139:14 “I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” We will explore daily themes of Created to be brave, authentic, free, disruptive and disciples. |
| What is the cost? $1300/participant Financial assistance, up to 50%, is available! Assistance up to $225 is available through the Youth Gathering, plus assistance up to $425 is available through Our Saviour’s CYF Scholarship Fund. Apply for assistance on the registration application form. |
