Susan Ahlers

Reception/Office Assistant

Susan joined Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in February of 2000 and the church staff as Office Assistant/ Receptionist in 2005. Before joining Our Saviour's, she lived in Pennsylvania until 1997 when her family decided to go west to Minnesota. Susan is married to Mike Ahlers and has two daughters, Marie and Amanda.

Susan's faith has been nurtured at Our Saviour's through Bible studies, worship, drama, and the strong faith community at OSLC. Her passion is nurturing the faith and Christian education of herself, youth, and adults.

Something that might surprise you about Susan is her Pennsylvania Dutch heritage and the unique foods that come from that tradition. Some of the foods are: Potato Candy, Moon Pie, and the New Years meal of Pork and Sauer Kraut with Dumplings (brings good luck for the year).

If Susan had a free day to do anything she wanted she would take a walk through the woods, enjoying God's beautiful creation.
