Maria Pederson
Associate Pastor
Pastor Maria joined Our Saviour's Lutheran Church staff in February 2007 as an interim, part-time pastor. On Sun., Oct. 28, 2007 the congregation voted to change her from interim to permanent.
On Sundays when Pastor Maria is not at Our Saviour's, she worships with her children, Markus and Grace, at Cambridge Lutheran Church where her husband, Jon, is a pastor. The Pedersons moved back to Minnesota in February 2006 when Jon took the call at Cambridge and Pastor Maria left her call at Cross of Life in Brookfield, WI, west of Milwaukee.
When asked how her faith has been nurtured at Our Saviour's Pastor Maria said, "Being part of a staff who share heartfelt devotions at staff meetings fills my soul. Talking with members, visitors, and staff as we share our faith stories nurtures me in my own journey."
Living, sharing Gods great love with people, and enjoying her family is Pastor Maria's passion in life. Something that might surprise you about her is that she was shy as a child.
If she had a free day to do anything she wanted, Pastor Maria would, "h-m-m-m, sleep until 7:30 a.m., read a mystery, go out to coffee with a friend, take a walk with or go on an outing with Jon and the kids."
