Power UP Worship

September-April at 6:30 p.m.

This time is set aside for being with God in a meaningful, intentional way. Everyone worships God uniquely - for many, that means singing and clapping along, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. You're welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. All you will need to participate in worship is projected on the screen in the Worship Space. There are Bibles located in the pew racks in front of you if you want to read along with the scripture lesson for the day. The page numbers are listed in the Order of Worship. If you don't have your own Bible at home, please take one as Our Saviour's gift to you.

Communion

Communion is celebrated on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at Power UP worship. All who believe that Jesus is present in the bread and the wine are invited to come to the altar. At Our Saviour's we celebrate Holy Communion in the style of intinction. As you come to the communion station, please hold out your hand and the server will place a wafer in your hand. Gluten free wafers are available at all communion stations. Dip the wafer into either the chalice of wine held by the server or the cup of grape juice in the center of the wafer plate. After you have eaten the Meal, you may return to your seat. Children who do not yet receive communion are invited to come forward for a blessing.

Prayers for Wholeness and Healing

On the second Wednesday of the month, two prayer stations will be available during Communion.  Anyone with special prayer concerns who would like someone to pray with them (and receive a blessing) are invited to come to a prayer station in the front of the church near the windows or in the back of the church near the windows.  A small altar with candles and a kneeling bench and someone who will pray for you and your concerns will be available.

More about the Prayer Team.

Offering

Each week Our Saviour's receives an offering. Not only do your offerings reach the communities surrounding Our Saviour's, they reach around the world through the global missions and outreach programs of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. They also give Our Saviour's the means to spread the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed in the future.

Offerings for Those in Need - 3rd Wednesday of the month

Got stuff? Special Offering! We realize that not everyone has extra cash, but may have an extra can of soup, box of cereal, gently used sweater or  sweatshirt, etc. During  Power UP worship on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, you'll have the opportunity to bring your offering up to the altar as we worship God.  Any "stuff" you bring will be given to people in need.

The Message

Every week you will hear an engaging message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life.

Help us Connect with You

We want to know when you have worshipped with us. Please fill in the tear-off portion of the Plugged IN newsletter you'll receive at worship and drop it into the offering basket. The Plugged IN has Ministry Opportunities listed on the inside. If you see something that interests you, feel free to check the corresponding box on the tear-off.
