For the Children

Our Sunday children's programs are carefully designed for children from birth through grade 4. The staff and volunteers have created a safe, fun atmosphere in which children can learn Bible stories and participate in age-appropriate activities.

Make your first stop the Reception Desk, to the left of the main entrance, with questions about Nursery or Sunday School. For children who aren't ready to be separated from parents, there are busy bags across from the Worship Space (feel free to grab one on your way into worship) and children's bulletins are available from the ushers.

A staffed nursery is available for children birth to age 3 on most Sundays during the 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. worship services, September through May, and also at the 10:00 a.m. service, June through August.

Settle in at Our Saviour's

You'll notice a casual atmosphere and people of all ages and walks of life. Be sure to fill out a name tag at the welcome table, so we can all become better acquainted. You will be welcomed into the Worship Space by an usher and given a Happenings (weekly news) which includes an Order of Worship to help you follow the worship service.

During Worship

This time is set aside for being with God in a meaningful, intentional way. Everyone worships God uniquely - for many, that means singing and clapping along, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. You're welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. All you will need to participate in worship is projected on the screen in the Worship Space. There are Bibles located in the pew racks in front of you if you want to read along with the scripture lesson and Gospel for the day. The page numbers are listed in the Order of Worship. If you don't have your own Bible at home, please take one as Our Saviour's gift to you.

Prayers for Wholeness and Healing

On the first Sunday of the month, two prayer stations will be available during Communion.  Anyone with special prayer concerns who would like someone to pray with them (and receive a blessing) are invited to come to a prayer station in the front of the church near the windows or in the back of the church near the windows.  A small altar with candles and a kneeling bench and someone who will pray for you and your concerns will be available.

More about the Prayer Team.

Offering

Each week Our Saviour's receives an offering. Not only do your offerings reach the communities surrounding Our Saviour's, they reach around the world through the global missions and outreach programs of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. They also give Our Saviour's the means to spread the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed in the future.

The Message

Every week you will hear an engaging message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life.

Holy Communion

Every Sunday we celebrate communion together. All who believe that Jesus is present in the bread and the wine are invited to come to the altar. At Our Saviour's we celebrate Holy Communion in the style of intinction. As you come to the communion station, please hold out your hand and the server will place a wafer in your hand. Gluten free wafers are available at all communion stations. Dip the wafer into either the chalice of wine held by the server or the cup of grape juice in the center of the wafer plate. After you have eaten the Meal, you may return to your seat. Children who do not yet receive communion are invited to come forward for a blessing.

Help us Connect with You

We want to know when you have worshipped with us. Please fill out the tear-off portion of the Happenings newsletter and drop it into the offering basket. The Happenings has the Top Five Ministry Opportunities listed on the inside. If you see something that interests you, feel free to check the corresponding box on the tear-off.

Join us for refreshments

Refreshments are available following worship in the Gathering Space, just outside the Worship Space. Please take this opportunity to sit and chat with friends or family, relax, discuss the day's message, or connect with others.
