Affirmation of Baptism Ceremonies
Sat., May 25, 2011 at 1:00, 3:00, and 5:00 p.m.
Confirmation marks the completion of the congregation’s program of confirmation ministry: a period of instruction in the Christian faith as confessed in the teachings of the Lutheran Church. Those who have completed this program are made members of the Church in Baptism.
Confirmation includes a public profession of the faith into which the candidates were baptized, thus underscoring God’s action in their Baptism. These persons have been instructed in the Christian faith and desire to make public affirmation of their Baptism.
Together we rejoice in their decision to continue in the covenant God made with them in Holy Baptism: to live among God’s faithful people, to hear His Word and share His supper, to proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed, to serve all people following the example of our Lord Jesus, and to strive for justice and peace in all the earth!

Sash Making Day
Watch for the 2011 date
On this day, confirmands will make a sash/stole to wear on the day of their Affirmation of Baptism service. Confirmands are able to choose eight symbols to be cut out of felt and apply to their sash with paint, glitter, and embellishments. Bring your parents, a snack to share, a good pair of scissors, and your smile!
8th Grade Confirmation Retreat
Fun, food, friends, and faith building happen at the 8th Grade Confirmation Retreat.
Pictures and Practice
Wed., May 18, 2011
Come dressed appropriately for the photo. Confirmands will be wearing a white robe; however, the lower legs and shoes will show in the photo. Parents will have an opportunity to take photos of their child with the pastors, small group, and friends after the professional photographer is done. We hope that all guides and leaders will participate in this fun night as well!
