Sunday School for age 3-grade 4
Sundays at 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. Worship - Sept.-May
Sunday School is offered to help children begin to discover how they can be life-long disciples of Jesus Christ. Sunday School is held most Sundays beginning the second Sunday in September and continuing through the third Sunday in May. Registrations are accepted throughout the year.
As you walk through the halls of Our Saviour’s you might hear the word Spark. The Spark curriculum connects readings from worship with Sunday school, following stories in the Revised Common Lectionary. Throughout the three-year cycle, each lesson comes from a Bible story in the Old Testament, the Gospels, or Acts that kids will hear during worship.
2011-12 Sunday School Registration
Jesus and Me (JAM) for age 3-grade 4
JAM begins the fourth Wednesday in September and runs through the 2nd Wednesday in April. Registrations are accepted throughout the year for this program. The JAM program uses materials called "Living Inside Out." Each week the children focus on different Bible stories with age appropriate activities.
Summer Sunday School
June through August
10:00 a.m.—for age 3-grade 4
Our Saviour's offers a multi-age Sunday School program for Children age 3-grade 4. Children are invited to begin in worship with their families and are dismissed to their teacher following the children's message.
First Communion Instruction
Spring Class: Sat., March 10, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
First Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, March 18.
Realizing that children are ready at different ages to receive communion, parents/guardians are encouraged to consider the following to help determine if their child is ready:
- Has your child begun asking about communion?
- Is your child feeling left out when other people are taking communion?
- Does your child wish to attend a first communion class?
This class is open to any age, including adults. Parents/guardians please plan to attend the class with your child. The materials cost is $12 (due with registration). Contact Brice Bloxham, bbloxham@oursaviourslc.org with questions.
A Taste of Confirmation for 4th Grade Students
Febuary 8, 6:30-8:15 p.m.
All 4th graders will have the opportunity to get a Taste of Confirmation. You will have the opportunity to:
- sing and dance with the Power UP Band in worship (6:30-7:15 p.m.)
- hear the Pastors awesome message
- hang out with the big kids in our Confirmation Large group (7:15-7:45 p.m.)
- chat with Jodi about what happens on Wednesday nights (7:45-8:15 p.m.)
You are also invited to join the fun and grab a meal at The MarketPlace (served every Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m.). Make sure to bring mom and dad with you for this Taste of Confirmation.

Bible Sunday on Reformation Sunday
Each year, on the last Sunday of October, Our Saviour's celebrates Bible Sunday. Preschool 1 children (age 3) will receive the Beginner's Bible and the 2nd graders will receive the Adventure Bible. Please join the Our Saviour's family for this special Bible blessing.
Annual Sunday School Christmas Program
Second Sunday in December
Experience the joy of the coming of the Christ child through the eyes of children (and the friendly Beasts). You won’t want to miss this inspiring annual tradition.
Sunday School Basket Auction
At the annual Children’s Ministry silent basket auction, thematic baskets will be available for you to bid on from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. sharp. Proceeds go to defray Children’s Ministry expenses.
